George Michael Saliba, II, age 78 of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at South Georgia Medical Center, Lanier Campus in Lakeland, Georgia. He was born in Albany, Georgia on November 1, 1944, to the late Mary Sheffield Franklin and John Rogers Saliba. He went to Valdosta State College and then obtained his Juris Doctorate Law Degree from the University of Georgia. He became senior partner at Saliba, Edwards, Moore, and Voyles Attorneys at Law. His favorite hobby was collecting guns. He enjoyed flying planes, a good game of chess and loved food. George loved the court room and being an attorney. He practiced law in Valdosta for over fifty years. He loved his grandchildren and was very proud they followed in his footsteps by going to the University of Georgia. He was most happy and relaxed when spending time at his farm in Cuthbert, Georgia and he loved sharing it with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and uncle, Lee Jeffrey Knighton.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jenny Saliba of Valdosta, Georgia, daughter Leigh Broomberg and husband Jaret of Lake Park, Georgia, stepson, Atlas of Jacksonville, Florida, grandchildren: Cole Broomberg and Marleigh Broomberg.
Graveside rites will be held at 2 o’clock pm, Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at
