of Valdosta Ga., passed away Friday April 16, 2004 in South Georgia Medical Center after declining health. He was born in Barretts, GA on Nov. 9, 1925, to the late Dock and Bessie Wetherington. He lived most of his life in Largo, Fl. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his three Daughters and Sons-in Law, Bonnie J. and Chuck Walden, Nashville, TN, Judy and Ted Clenton, Largo, FL, Joyce Vandervort, Largo, FL, One Son, Darwin Wetherington, Largo, FL, Former wife and special friend, Gene Wetherington, Largo, FL; Four Granddaughters, Tracy Ellenberg, Cammy Wetherington, Crystal Eames and Janel Nickol. Five Grandsons, Scott Roberts, Jason Nichols, Robert D. Nickol, Austin and Logan Wetherington. Six Great Grandchildren, special cousins, Winston Wetherington and Kathy Prescott. One sister, Jessie Berry, Largo, FL. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Casey and Haywood Wetherington and sister, Armetta Chasey.
Graveside services were held at 5 p.m., Sunday, April 18, 2004 in Good Hope cemetery in Naylor, GA.
Music Funeral Services, Lakeland is serving the Wetherington family.
