He was a member of Blytheville Presbyterian Church in Blytheville, AR. He was retired from the United States Air Force after serving over 23 years of which 3 years were served in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Virginia Maple of Valdosta, GA; 3 Daughters and Son-in-Law, Ann Maple and Christy Maple, both of Asheville, NC,
Sandy & David Joyner of Quartz Hill, CA; 4 Brothers & Sisters-in-Law, Jerry & Janice Maple of Lake Charles, MO, Bob Maple of Springfield, IL, Raymond & Alice Maple of GA, Jimmy & Cindy Maple of Godfrey, IL; 3 Sisters & Brother-in-Law, Christine & Jess Rice of Woodstock, GA, Barbara Norman of Godfrey, IL,
Patsy Gustafason of Houston, TX; Sister-in-Law, Frances Dietrich of Canoga Park, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
