Timothy L. Shuman- 62
Of Naylor, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024. He was born on September 2, 1961, in Cordele, Georgia to the late Walter Shuman and Mary Faye Lewis Shuman. Timothy loved his family and grandchildren very much. He spent five years breaking in horses; he loved trail riding; he rode bare back before getting a saddle. Along with riding horses he enjoyed fishing, gardening (vegetables), UGA football, raising farm animals and listening to gospel music. He is preceded in death by a brother, Paul Michael Shuman.
Survivors include: wife, Velda Mae Shuman of Naylor, Georgia; son, Paul Dewayne Brooks, Jr. (Tanya) of Madison, Florida, son Alfred Brooks of North Georgia; daughter, Christie Dawn Frost of Valdosta, Georgia; daughter, Misty Michelle Googe (Travis) of Naylor, Georgia; grandchildren, Cheyeene Brooks of Madison, Florida, Nichole “Nikki” Brooks of Valdosta, Georgia, Summer Brooks of Albany, Georgia, Bryson Brooks of Albany, Georgia, James Andrew “Drew” Frost, Jr. of Naylor, Georgia, Kiera Frost of Valdosta, Georgia, Emma Frost of Valdosta, Georgia, Ashton Googe of Naylor, Georgia, Lakyn Googe of Naylor, Georgia, brother and sister in law, Stan Shuman (Kitty) and nieces and nephews, Caley & Darren Bouck and Walt Shuman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in the Lakeland chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, February 12, 2024, at the funeral home.
