Earl Dent – 67

Of Lakeland passed away Monday, May 17, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Lanier County on October 12, 1948 to the late Eston & Clois Durrance Dent. Mr. Dent worked with Giddens Chevrolet as a mechanic for over 35 years. He was a diehard Chevy fan, loved working in his garden on his Farmall Tractor, riding his golf cart and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by sister, Janice Chapman, brothers, Billy Dent & George Dent.

Survivors Include: Wife of 23 years, Reba Stone Dent, Lakeland, GA; Daughters & Son-law, Masha Dent, Lakeland, GA, Kim & Ben Bruce, Lakeland, GA; Son, Carl Dent, Lakeland, GA; Sister & Brother-in-law, JoAnn & R.J. Stone, Lakeland, GA; Brother, J.L. Dent, Lakeland, GA; Aunt & Uncle, Mary & Louis Herring, Lake Park, GA and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, May 19, 2016 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Empire Cemetery.
