Linda Gail Jones

Linda Gail Jones, age 77, of Hahira, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, while in The Bahamas. Born on April 5, 1948, in Hamlet, North Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late Norman James Watts and Beatrice Wright Watts. Linda was a cherished member of her community, known for her kind spirit, warm heart, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She loved watching sunsets on the beach and spending time with her family. She cherished adventures and always sought fun. Linda’s presence brought joy to those around her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of many. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Lynn Watts. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Larry Jones of Hahira, Georgia; son and daughter in law, Jamey Jones (Heather) of Quitman, Georgia; daughter and son in law, Amanda Ingram (John Lee) of Valdosta, Georgia; grandchildren: Emily Hiers, Hunter Jones, Saige Hiers, Jonathan Jones, Hannah Jones, Peyton Wilson, and Kierra Jette; nephew, Chad Hiers (Jenny) of Quitman, Georgia; favorite aunt, Betsy Giddens of Fitzgerald, Georgia; special nieces and nephews: Jennifer Walker of Ocilla, Georgia, Denise Verheul (Rick) of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Scott Griffin(Stephanie) of Fitzgerald, Georgia; many great nieces and nephews; a host of close friends and extended family members; sister and brother in law, Patsy Pearmain (Ed) of Sandy, Utah. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 16, 2025, at the funeral home.
