Carole Hughes Finnell

Carole Hughes Finnell, age 79, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away, Sunday, May 1, 2022, at her residence. Carole was born July 19, 1942 in Nashville, Georgia to the late Peggy Alma Cook Hughes and Lossie B. Hughes. Carole obtained an Associates and was residence manager for U-Stor Mini Storage. Carole was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook and enjoyed flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Woods; one sister, Barbara Gail Hughes Metts and one brother, Hubert Hughes. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-six years, Thomas (Tom) Ward Finnell of Valdosta, Georgia; her children: Jimmy Woods and wife Tammy of Bountiful, Utah, Kelly W. Wynn of Ogden, Utah, Vikkie Finnell of North Carolina and Cheryl Finnell of Australia; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth H. Hollingsworth of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, one brother-in-law: Ronnie Metts of Hahira, Georgia and two long-time high school friends, Faye Farr of Naylor, Georgia and Polly Tomlinson of Valdosta, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2 O’clock PM, Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Music Funeral Services, Lakeland. Interment will follow in Empire Cemetery, Lakeland, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 ~ 8:00 O’clock PM, Friday, May 6, 2022 at the funeral home.
