Christopher “Chris” Wayne Ford, age 55, passed away, Monday, April 25, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, Georgia. Chris was born October 31, 1966, in Archie Missouri to the late Sharon Hopgood and Terry Wayne Ford. Chris was a retail manager with Piggly Wiggly for many years. He loved his children and grandchildren. He was a huge Atlanta Braves fan; he also enjoyed Taco Tuesday’s. When Chris was younger, he was a coach with the little league department while his children and nephews played sports. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Alan Michael Lester and a niece, Makenna Musselwhite. Survivors include his children: Kyle Ford, Kaitlynn Ford, both of Lake Park, Georgia, Journey Ford and Jeb Cody and his wife Jordan all of Morven, Georgia; three grandchildren, Kloee Ford, Keaton Sirmans and Kamdon Sirmans; one brother, Bobby Don Ford of Archie, Missouri and a sister, Cathy F. Sahlfeld and husband Jesse of Archie Missouri; nieces: Brooke Redding, April Simpson, Hannah Hendrix, Nicole Musselwhite and Summer Hughes; nephews: Christopher Musselwhite, Delon Moore and Ricky Folsom; special friends Sheri Ford and Jennifer Ford; three sisters-in-law: Dawn Miller, Diane Merwin and Tara Hunter. Funeral services will be held at 2 O’clock PM, Friday, April 29, 2022, at Music Funeral Services, Valdosta Chapel. Interment will be private.
