Deryl Carlton Seckinger

March 17, 1936 - March 14, 2022

Deryl Carlton Seckinger, 85, of Naylor, Georgia passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Blanton, Georgia (Lowndes County) to the late Louelle Giddens Seckinger and Ira Theron Seckinger. He was a rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service; and was a Bee Keeper for many years. He was a loving husband, dad, granddad, and great granddad. He enjoyed fishing and growing his garden and loved sharing the goods from his garden. He was a great cook, but was also best known for his beef short rib vegetable soup. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother James Howell Seckinger. Survivors include: loving wife of fifty years Sandra C. Seckinger of Naylor, Georgia; two sons Steve Seckinger and wife Hope of Valdosta, Georgia, Mack Seckinger and wife Chelby of Swainsboro, Georgia; eight grandchildren Jacque, Summer, Tyler, Ryan, Scott, Marissa, Joel and Carly; four great grandchildren Ricky, Saige, Kira, Rosie, and expecting three more; one brother Donald Seckinger and wife Sara Lou of Stockton, Georgia; sister-in-law Paulette Seckinger of Macon, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside Rites will be held at 2:00 O’clock P.M. Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Naylor, Georgia. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at the cemetery. Kind words and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
