Eddie “Duke” Duane Vannoy – 67 Of Hahira, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at his residence. Eddie was born in Marrietta, Ohio to the late Fannie Mae “Judy” and Edward Dwayne Vannoy. He enjoyed motorcycles and playing guitar, but especially loved to work. Before retiring, he worked in construction for H.B Zachary & Archer Western. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother in-law, Kenny Schaad. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Emily Putnam Vannoy of Hahira, Georgia; son, Austin Vannoy (Nikki) of Valdosta, Georgia; daughter, Elyse Lovelady (Tim) of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandsons, Grady Vannoy and Oliver Vannoy of Valdosta, Georgia; sisters, Carolyn “Kay” Schaad of Lowell, Ohio and Rosemary “Rosie” Reed (Jim) of Lowell, Ohio. Memorialization will be by cremation and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later time. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
