    January 23, 1954 - May 5, 2022

    Edith Eileen Taylor – 68 Of Ray City Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Homerville, Georgia on January 23, 1954 to the late Eleanor Edenfield Walker and Donald Selph, Sr . She was a custodian at Smith Northview Hospital in Valdosta for 17 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed vacations and loved to visit the mountains. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Elaine Pierce and sisters Debra McMillian and Sandra Gail Selph. Survivors include: loving husband of 28 years, Jimmy Ray Taylor of Ray City, Georgia; son Raymond VanBuren Bennefield, Jr. of Nashville, Georgia; brother, William Donald Selph, Jr (Wanda) of Homerville, Georgia; sister Billie Dawn Hyche (Donnie Joe Hyche, Jr) of Daytona Florida; stepchildren, Levi Holden Taylor of Killeen, Texas; Trent Nolan Taylor (Ofelia) of Copperas Cove, Texas; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorialization will be by cremation and a service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 1:00 o’clock P.M. at the family residence. The Edith Eileen Taylor family is being served by the professional and caring staff of Music Funeral Services of Lakeland.
