Ada Idella Williamson Sauls, age 93, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 1:25 AM while hospitalized at Bainbridge, Georgia, Memorial Hospital from an age related illness. Most of Mrs. Sauls' adult life was spent in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and Valdosta, Georgia, with the past few years being with her youngest daughter, south of Bainbridge.
She was a housewife, Mother, and friend to all with whom she came in contact. Her husband had been a Church of God minister for most of his life and they had served in various assignments throughout northwest Florida with the longest tenure being in DeFuniak Springs prior to retiring to Valdosta, GA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Claud, in 1990, and a daughter, Lavern Rushing, in 2011. She is survived by her children Hazel Arner Ken of Cleveland, TN, Jimmy Sauls Delora of Prattville, AL, Pat Frazier James of St Marys, GA, and Brenda Granger of Decatur County GA, south of Bainbridge. She is also survived by the following grandchildren: Michael Burnham, Valdosta, GA; Tommy Rushing, Wicksburg, AL; Tammy House, Mobile, AL; Todd Sauls, Albuquerque, NM; Nicole Brewer, Winter Park, FL; Scott Frazier, Jacksonville, FL; Tiffany Fitzpatrick, St Mary's, GA; Milton Haddock, Jr, Lake Park, GA; and Brian Haddock, Nashville, TN. Other survivors are 17 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 1:00 PM at Music Funeral Services in Valdosta, GA, with Rev. Ralph Dillard and Rev. Ed Mathis officiating. Viewing will be from 11AM-1PM at Music Funeral Services; interment will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery immediately following the services. Sympathy may be expressed online at
