Addie Jean Kauffman – 85
Of Lakeland, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on October 31, 1937 in Statesboro, Georgia to the late William Dewey Waters and Lollie Mae Bush Waters. Mrs. Addie was a true southern classy lady who always dressed well and always had a matching wardrobe including her hats and gloves. She enjoyed hosting tea parties and entertaining her friends of the community. Mrs. Addie loved collecting antiques and going to thrift stores. She could tell you where every thrift store was in every town. She and her husband were members of the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Lakeland, Georgia. Mrs. Addie loved to travel and visit different parts of the country and going to Jehovah’s Witnesses Conventions here and abroad. She loved motorcycles and would go to Daytona every year for bike week when Richard was alive. They had a passion for western films and going to the Western Film Conventions. One of the highlights of her life was being featured on the American Pickers tv show. Above all else she loved her family, friends, and “Baby”. Survivors include: Daughters, Kathy Ann Moudy (Joe) of Springdale, Arkansas, Patricia Ann Brogdon (Ronnie) of Lakeland, Georgia; son, Kenneth Richard Kauffman (Monica) of Nashville, Georgia; grandchildren: Karina Marie Wilder, Patrick Wilder (Heather), Joann Coffman, Joseph Moudy, Amanda Marie Panousis (Nicholas), Daniel Timothy Brogdon, Dana Leigh Wilkerson (Chris), Leanna Michelle Jackson (Tommy); great grandchildren: Reagan Marie Wilder, Bonnie Wilder, Hunter Timothy Brogdon, Colten Brogdon, Paylin Rae Wilkerson and Emerie Ann Wilkerson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in the chapel of Music Funeral Services, Lakeland. The family will be gathering at the home place of Mrs. Addie and invite anyone to visit and share memories. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 67 S Oak St, Lakeland, GA 31635 or to a charity of your choice in honor of Mrs. Addie Kauffman.
