Addison L. Johnson – 7 of Clyattville passed away Monday evening after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. Addison was born on July 19, 2010 in Valdosta to Jeffrey & Lindsee Johnson of Clyattville. She attended 2nd grade at Clyattville Elementary School. As most 7 year olds she was very active and was very independent, “I’ll do it myself”. She loved riding horses, watching youtube, spending time with her little brother, Bryson and staying up half the night watching “Full House”. She was preceded in death by her great grandfathers, Loyd Dowling McLendon, Ralph Johnson & Buddy Shelton and great grandmother, Sue Raines.
Along with her parents, she is survived by: Brother, Bryson Loyd Johnson, Clyattville, Maternal Grandmother, Heather Raines, Pensacola, FL; Maternal Grandfather, Larry E. Raines, Jr., Hahira; Paternal Grandmother, Linda Johnson, Alabama; Paternal Grandfather, Jeff Johnson, Valdosta; Maternal Great Grandmother, Sharon Shelton, Lake Park; Paternal Great Grandmother, Faye Johnson, Nashville; Paternal Great Grandmother, Annie Faye McLendon, Alabama; Extended family, Leon & Betty Barlow, Valdosta and a number of uncles, aunts and cousins.
A celebration of Addison’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 5, 2018 in the Redland Baptist Church, 4888 Rocky Ford Rd, Valdosta, GA with burial following in Dasher Cemetery. Addison will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday evening, April 4, 2018 at the funeral home.
