Of Valdosta passed away Friday, October 6, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born October 4, 1925 in White Springs, Fl to the late Alfonzo and Ruby Fender, Sr. Mr. Fender worked with Owens-Illinois Papermill for 34 Years and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was Baptist by faith. His sisters, Mildred Hancock, Catherine Sellars & Wilma Howell and a brother, Billy Fender precedes him in death.
Survivors Include: Wife, Jeanene Waller Fender, Daughter and Son-in-law, Sherry & Bill Starling, Son and Daughter-in-laws, Steve & Denise Fender , Cody & Phyllis Fender, Greg & Danette Fender, Mark & Brenda Fender, Scott Fender & Sheila King all of Valdosta, 22 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 8, 2006 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
