Alice Jeanette Mancil – 74
Of Lakeland, Georgia passed away on Wednesday February 26, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center – Berrien Campus. She was born on May 23, 1945 in Nashville, Georgia to the late James and Hazel (Spells) Askew. Alice was a lifelong Baptist by faith. She dedicated her life to being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Mancil; and sons, Michael E. Johns and Jeffrey R. Johns.
Survivors include her Daughter, Sandra Kay Johns of Lakeland, Georgia; Sons, Robert E. Johns of Ashburn, Georgia, Timothy J. Johns of Jasper, Florida; Sisters, Mary Helen Moore of Valdosta, Georgia, Laverne Shurtleff of Nashville, Georgia, Violet Daugherty of Lakeland, Georgia, JoAnn Roe of Lakeland, Georgia, Barbara Ann Moore of Flat Rock, Michigan; Brothers, Tommy Roe of Lakeland, Georgia, Ricky Roe of Lakeland, Georgia; Granddaughters: Misty M. Pierce, Amber M. Garrett, Kalynda S. Heck, Arayna Schrier (Johns); Grandsons: Billy B. Pierce, III, Justin A. Johns, Robert L. Johns, Timothy L. Johns, Jacob M. Johns; Great Grandchildren: Kayla Rogers, Myanna Rogers, Axell Rogers, Diesell Rogers, Tristan Melton, Tayler Pierce, Farah Johns and Blake Johns.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 29, 2020 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow at Good Hope Cemetery.
