Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2007 in South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born on May 31, 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. & Mrs. Verbeke opened their home to foster children for more than 15 years. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church were she was very active in the social activities. She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Verbeke, Sr. and son, Peter Verbeke, Jr.
Survivors include:2 sons, Steven F & Karen Verbeke, Valdosta, GA, Carl F Verbeke, Americus, GA, 7 Grandchildren, Number of Great-Grandchildren
Funeral services were held at1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 27, 2007 in St. John Catholic Church with burial following in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
