Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Lakehaven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Norman Park, GA on November 9, 1922 to the late John R. and Irene Mae Allen Pope Sr. . He was a member of Charity Baptist Church and served in the United States Navy. Mr. Pope worked in the Lanier County School Systems for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mabel Hausman and Esther Pope
Survivors Include:
Brother John Pope, Jr. St. Paul, MN
God Son Donny Collins Valdosta, GA
And a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Music Funeral Services, Valdosta
