Of Lakeland, GA passed away Thursday afternoon July 15, 2004 in South Georgia Medical Center following declining health. He was born January 30, 1926 in Berrien County to the late Bud and Nora McGill. He had lived in Lanier County for the past 41 years. Mr. McGill was a WWII Navy veteran serving aboard the USS Knudson. He was a member of VFW Post 5978 in Nashville and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mr. McGill was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Felton, Mearl and Bud McGill, 2 sisters, Evelyn Harrell and Ruby Nell Walker.
Survivors include Wife of 54 years, Dorothy Cribbs McGill, Lakeland, GA, 2 Sons & Daughters-In-Law, Wesley Buddy & Donna McGill, Lakeland, GA, Lester Jackie and Shirley Lindsey, Lakeland, GA, 3 Grandchildren, Jennifer Lindsey, Lakeland, GA, Danny McGill, Lakeland, GA, Bryan McGill, Nashville, GA, 3 Great Grandchildren, Wesley McGill, Riley Rowe and Hannah Johnston,

Graveside service were held at 10:30 Saturday, July 17, 2004 at Pleasant Cemetery in Nashville, GA.
