Of Hahira, GA was called home on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Archibald Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 7, 1951 to the Reverend Virgil and Louise (Turner) Brooks. Alvin was a carpenter and singer/musician for the Lord. Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Albert Brooks. He is survived by his special friend and soul mate, Ms. Faye Brooks.
Survivors include his children, April Brooks Thomas, Nicky Brooks, Jade & Shane Parramore, Kerry & Michelle Waters, Derrick Sumner, Wade & Brandi Sumner, Will & Steffanie Boone, Jessica Brooks, Gage Brooks, Shianne Brooks, Raven & Jimmy Menezes, Colby Brooks, Grandchildren, Alec & Mary Dotson, Taylor & JoJo Beall, Trevor Thomas, Aubryn and Tristan Parramore, Dennis Waters, Samantha Hughes, Casey Still, Jonathan Waters, Cash Sumner, Kolton Boone, Dalton Boone, Addilyn & Kaleb Harris, Emery Brooks, JJ & Ezra Menezes, Brock Brooks, Great Grandchildren, Natalie & Grayson Beall, Bella,Wyatt and Lilly Hughes; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Alan & Denise Brooks, Franklin Brooks, Marvin & Tina Brooks, Paul Brooks; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow at the Lake Park City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday, April 5, 2019. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the family for expenses.
