Amanda Fay Leverett Davis, age 40, of Hahira, Georgia passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, in San Diego, California, following a courageous five-year battle with cancer. Amanda had a warrior spirit and the love of family and friends that gave her that inner strength in the most trying of times. Her horses were not just a career, they were her passion. She cared about anyone that gave her a chance and she demonstrated that in everything she did for her family, friends and “Barn Family”. Amanda had a gift for pairing the right horses with the right people, and teaching both to make them the best partners they could possibly be. It is said that she could just look at a horse and tell what that horse needed to make it excel. Amanda is quoted as saying, “I wanted to be a great rider, but God needed me to be a teacher.” That God-given talent was evident in her teaching of children. Not only did she teach them the skill of riding, but she instilled in them a love for horses. Along with her longstanding equine business, JustAmere Farm, Amanda was licensed in real estate and as an auctioneer, as well as a proud Leadership Lowndes Alumni. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: G.H. and Lorene Holloway, and William and Estelle Leverett.
Amanda is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Davis of Hahira, Georgia; a daughter Cadence Davis of Hahira, Georgia; her parents, William and Barbara (Holloway) Leverett of Norman Park, Georgia; along with numerous extended family and dear friends. Amanda also had a special bond with her dogs. They were her strength during the most difficult days.
