Of Naylor, Georgia, passed away at South Georgia Medical Center on Monday, June 8, 2020. She was born on December 16, 1932 in Hahira, GA to the late Walter and Mary Watson Williams. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Winona enjoyed gardening, canning, putting up vegetables and mowing her lawn the old fashioned way….with the use of a push mower. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her Husband, Howard Eugene Hand; Sons, Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Hand and Timmy Hand; Grandson, Josh Henry; Brother, James Williams; Sister, Grace W Sellars.
Survivors include: Daughter, Shirley H. Henry Naylor, Georgia; Son, Tony (Caroline) Hand, Cherry Lake, FL; Grandchildren, Missy (Herschel) Smith, Homerville, GA; Lucretia (Timothy) Corbitt, Valdosta, GA; David Henry, Naylor, GA; Taylor Hand and fiancé, Steven Spell, Valdosta, GA; Bryan Hand, Ashburn, AL; Great Grandchildren, T.J. and Trenton Corbitt; Sisters, Christie W. Ware, Macon, GA; Louise W. Roberts, Naylor, GA; Along with several nieces and nephews.
A chapel service for Winona will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 @ 11:00 AM at Music Funeral Services in Valdosta with burial to follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery, Berrien County, Ga. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Please note that because of the current social distancing mandates, a limit of 30 people are allowed in our chapel. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask that folks join us at graveside.
