Ann B. Bludsworth – 86
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on March 3, 1929 in Morven, GA to the late William Simmons and Annie Jones Simmons. She was a homemaker and a member of Azaela City Church of God in Valdosta, GA and First Assembly Ministries in Mulberry, FL. She loved her family and enjoyed reading the Bible and cooking. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, four brothers, a stepson, Cecil Davis, and a step grandchild, Bobby Warren.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Davis and William Pruitt, Mulberry, FL; Shirley and Donald Frier, Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Ken Pitts Loretta, Felton Warren, David Warren Peggy, Shirl Lusk Billy, and Elizabeth "Libby" Goodwin Richard; great grandchildren, Brittany Pitts Davis, Heather Pitts Warren, Jessica Pitts and eight other grandchildren; a number of great-great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Virgil Wetherington of Brunswick, GA; and nieces and nephews, Jean and Joe Brogdon, Lakeland, GA; Janice and Jim Gobin, Abilene, TX; Virginia Martin, Rockwood, TN; Audrey and Don Manac, Fruitland, GA; Bonnie and J. L. Perry, Valdosta, GA; Pat and Brian Drew; Dr. Kim and Jim Megow; Sheri and David Young, Brunswick, GA; Sandra and Robert Simmons, Tifton, GA; E.E. and Nadine Eunice, Tallahassee, FL; Bill and Charon Dorminey, Junction City, KS; Tony Maine, Fruitland, GA; and Jimmy and Angie Simmons, Adel, GA.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Azaela City Church of God in Valdosta, GA. A private burial will be held at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed online at
