Of Valdosta passed away Thursday evening December 7, 2006 in the Crestwood Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was born October 19, 1906 to the late John and Nora Lee Bonnell. She was a member of the New Covenant Church and was active in prison ministry for 30 years. Mrs. Carlo gained her name Mom by inmates she would visit through her prison ministry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Carlo.
Survivors Include: Nieces and Nephews, Edward Carlo, Valdosta, Barbara Baldwin, Texas, Helen Carter, Valdosta, Veronica Mowls, Valdosta, Lillian Mickel, Nashville, Shirley Ann McKenzie, Valdosta, Lila Archambault, Valdosta, Fred Carlo, Jr., Barney, Howard May, Jacksonville, FL, Dolly Weatherington, Brunswick, GA, Linda Garrison, Valdosta, Tommy Barr, Bruce Barr, Ricky Barr, all of Georgia; Special Family Member, Lisa Tillman, Valdosta, special friend, Bobby Battles of Valdosta and all of her church family
Graveside services were held Monday, December 11, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Sunset Hill Cemetery with Pastor Randy Stephen officiating.
