Annette A. Holmes-Anderson - 57
Of Valdosta passed away at her residence after a long illness on Friday, October 26, 2018. She was born in Munich, Germany on June 20, 1961 to Harry A. and Frieda Matchi Holmes. Annette lived almost 20 years in Valdosta, GA.
As a young adult, Annette aspired to follow in her dad’s foot steps and go into the US Army. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island and achieving the rank of First Lieutenant, Annette returned to civilian life, and worked at George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, as Director of Medical Records, Department of Medicine in Washington, DC until her retirement to Valdosta.
Annette is preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Louis L. Anderson.
Annette leaves to morn her passing: Father, Harry A. Holmes (Ruby) of Dover, DE. Three Sisters: Christine Holmes-Robinson (Chris) of King George, VA., Tylla W. Williams of Valdosta, GA., Cindy Holmes Wiegenstein (Amy) of Valdosta, GA. Three nephews: Marcus A. Williams, Toby M. Talamantes and Cameron Robinson. Also, several beloved extended family members and friends. Annette and Louie were dedicated to their three Great Danes and loved them dearly until their deaths: Zoey, Shadoe and Faith.

A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, October 29, 2018. New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, will lead the service at the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
