Annie Ruth Sirmans, age 75, of Lawrenceville, Georgia and formerly of Lakeland, Georgia, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, in Lawrenceville.
She was born May 17, 1947, in Berrien County, Georgia, to the late Isaac W. Exum and Elevenia Adams Exum Boyd. She lived almost 40 years in Lakeland before residing some years in Nashville, Adel, and Ray City, and then living in Lawrenceville in metro Atlanta since January 2021 as she fought and beat her Stage III cancer. She died of a sudden illness at Northside Hospital Gwinnett.
The lifelong homemaker was preceded in death by her husband, Carlie A. “Preacher” Sirmans, who passed away on their 49th wedding anniversary on Dec. 6, 2014.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Sirmans and son-in-law Troy Mooring of Lawrenceville; three daughters, Teresa Rewis of Nashville, Liesa Sirmans and son-in-law David Swords of Adel, and Laura Mixon and son-in-law Robert Mixon of Nashville; and a sister, Barbara Blanchard and brother-in-law Jimmy Blanchard of Sparks.
Graveside rites will be held at 11 o’clock am, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the Long Bridge Cemetery in Berrien County.
