He was born on February 18, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to Frank Joseph and Mary Loefler Guenther. After serving his country, Mr. Guenther retired from the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Guenther and his sisters, Elizabeth Volmert, Catherine Roper, Genevieve Robinson, and Lucille Pringle.
His survivors include his Wife, Betty Lou Guenther of Thomasville, GA; Sons & Daughters-in-Law, Curtis Wayne & Elizabeth C. Guenther of Birmingham, AL, Jerry Lee & Mary Guenther of Woodbine, GA; Grandchildren, Jennifer Owens, Adrianne Philpott, Brandon Guenther, Mitchell Guenther, Courtney Guenther, John Thomas Newsome, and Sarah Jane Newsome

Funeral services will be held 3:00PM on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
