Of Lakeland, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008 after a brief illness. He was born June 23, 1951 in Clyattville, Georgia to the late Roy R.E. and Coye Dell Coody Hooker.
Survivors include his step-sons, Roy Chip and wife Ashley Moses, Courtney C.J. and wife Michelle Hooker and a daughter Coye Nicole Hooker and fiancé, Gary Miley, grandsons, Zack Collins & Gabriel Avila, granddaughters, Makayla Hooker, Ripleah and Madison Moses and a great-granddaughter, Alexandra Collins and his former wife Annette Johnson, all of Florida.
2 Brothers, Floyd Gene & wife Bobbie Ann Coody, Valdosta, GA, and Timothy Hooker, Macon, GA, 3 Sisters, Lauralene & husband Ray Kennedy, Southwick, MA, Pat Cowart, Valdosta, GA, Susan Higginbotham, Lowndes County, Special Friends: Wesley and Linda Lightsey of Valdosta who were always there for Archie and Bobbie Webb of Nashville. A number of Special Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews.
He is predeceased in death by a brother Robert Hooker and a sister Vicki Easter-Combass, sister-in-law, Tammy Hooker, brother-in-laws Johnny Higginbotham and Paul Easter, Sr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association, 2452 Spring Road, Smyrna, GA. 30080-3862 or the American Heart Association, 305-1 University Drive, Valdosta, GA.
Memorial services will be held at Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2008.
