Arthur Franklin "Bud" Jackson, Sr. – 75
Of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Lowndes County on October 31, 1932 to the late Arthur Hampton & Annie Delphia Bellew Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. His family and friends will remember his generous spirit and sense of humor.
Survivors include: Wife, Betty Gene Jackson, Valdosta, GA, Daughters, Hazel J. Keith, Valdosta, GA, Penny J. Prewett, Commerce City, CO, Sons, Arthur F. Jackson, Jr., Valdosta, GA, Benjamin L. Jackson, Vidor, TX, Andrew H. Jackson, Valdosta, GA, Sisters, Mae Phillips, Dublin, NC, Mary Myers, Valdosta, GA
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 31, 2008 in Benevolence Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor David Paulk officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, May 30, 2008 at the funeral home.
