Arthur Wesley Thomas, Jr., 84, of Lake Park, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Born on July 23, 1942, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Arthur was the son of the late Arthur Thomas, Sr. and Leona Lalich Thomas. He proudly served his country as a mechanic in the United States Navy during the 1960s. Following his military service, Arthur began a 37-year career with Georgia-Pacific in the paper industry, retiring in 2001.

Arthur enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the many years of memories they made together.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Erma Jean Thomas of Lake Park, Georgia; his sons, Kent (Lisa) Thomas and Kirk (Tina) Thomas, both of Lake Park, GA; grandchildren, Zachary Thomas and Zane Thomas of Valdosta, GA and Kaleb (Erica) Thomas and Ryan Thomas of Lake Park, GA; and great granddaughter, Caroline Thomas of Lake Park, GA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Service details will be announced once arrangements have been completed.
