Audrey Folsom

Of Lakeland, passed away Monday, September 17, 2007 at the Louis Smith Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. After graduating from the Lanier County School system she went on to attend and graduate from Georgia State Womans College in Valdosta, Georgia in the spring of 1934. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Miller Hardware and Miller Farms for 36 years and retired February 2005. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lakeland, Woodmen of the World, Real Club, Widows Club and the Mary Threatte Sunday School Class. She is preceded in death by her husband George H. G.H. Folsom, Jr., parents Mr. & Mrs. Joseph B. Patten, two sisters Bessie Jo Patten and Dorothy Patten Fike.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2007 at First Baptist Church, Lakeland with burial following at Burnt Church Cemetery. The family will receive friend’s Wednesday, September 19, 2007 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
