Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at her daughter's residence. She was born on November 17, 1945 in Lowndes County to the late Guy and Mary Catherine Beck Carter. She worked for over 21 years at Mr. B's IGA Grocery Store in Valdosta, GA. She loved working, cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Bennett was a loving and devoted Mother to her pet Precious, her four children, and to Charles Bennett, her loving companion and the father of her children. She was also a member of Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland, GA.
Her survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-Law, Greg & Janet Bennett of Valdosta;
Daughter & Son-in-Law, Donna & Craig Wisenbaker of Valdosta; Son & Companion, Terry Bennett & Deanna Hardison of Valdosta; Son & Daughter-in-Law, Jimmy & Lynn Bennett of Valdosta; Grandchildren, Megan Bennett, Ceegee Bennett, Shelby Bennett, Christian Wisenbaker, Heather Wisenbaker Lawlor, Tristan Bennett, Carter Bennett, Ashton Dowdy, & Garrett Dowdy; Great Grandchildren, Olivia Lawlor, Haylee Padgett, Hayden Peavy, & Nattie Johnson; Brothers & Sister-in-Laws, Jimmy Bud & Evelyn Carter of Valdosta; Tony & Michelle Carter of Valdosta; Sister & Brother-in-Law, Linda & Phillip Corbett of Valdosta; Nieces & Nephews, Phil & Kelsey Corbett, Guy & Lori Carter, Jim & Rhonda Carter, Steve Carter, Christopher & Brittany Carter, and Brandon Carter.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM, Sunday, March 17, 2013 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Carter Cemetery in Echols County. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the funeral home.
