Of Valdosta passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Brooks County on January 30, 1932 to the late A.J. and Josie Hunter Dixon. He was retired from Winnersville Roofing were he worked as a roofer and was Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Dixon, and a son, Arnold Neil Dixon.
Survivors Include: 2 Sons & Daughter-in-Laws: Tim & Judy Dixon, Valdosta, Ga, and Curtis & Latrhonda Dixon, Lubbock, Tx. 4 Daughters & Son-in-Laws: Kay & Marvin Singletary, Valdosta, Ga, Dallas & Danny Gillman, Graceville, Fl, Debbie & Pafford Carter, Valdosta, Ga, Sandy & Damone Glass, Marianna, Fl. Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Brothers, Sisters, and other family.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Greenfield Baptist Church in Pavo, with burial following in the Greenfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight, May 5, 2008, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
