Benny Hugh Fullwood

Benny Hugh Fullwood, age 89, of Lakeland, GA, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family, Saturday, February 7, 2026. He was born in Lanier County, February 2, 1936, to the late William Hobson Fullwood and Dorothy Harnage Fullwood. Benny was active in the First Baptist Church of Lakeland for many years. He was a member of Pleasant Way Baptist Church and a member of the Elks club. Benny loved dancing and working in his yard. Benny worked with Bi State Roofing for more than 30 years as a job superintendent. He is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law; Bill Fullwood (Martha) and sister and brother-in law; Betty Chadwick (Vascoe).

Survivors include Wife of 65 years, Leba Fullwood of Lakeland, Georgia; Daughter, Donna Lombardi of Tampa, Florida; Sons & Daughter in law; Aubrey Corbitt (Karen) of Milan, Georgia, Eddie Corbitt of Lakeland, Georgia;, Grandchildren; Hope Taylor (Brent) of Tampa, Florida, Heather Spivey (Curtis) of Columbus, Georgia, Clay Corbitt (Katie) of Perry, Georgia, Deanna Dickenson (Cole) of Tampa, Florida, Lindsay Salapka (Drew) of Cumming, Georgia, Tina Lombardi of Tampa, Florida and Natalie Lombardi of Tampa, Florida, Great Grandchildren; Cason Taylor, Jack Taylor, William Spivey, Benjamin Spivey, Dien Spivey, Andrew Spivey, Cole Corbitt, Lucy Corbitt, Lincoln Salapka, Lanier Salapka, Logan Dickenson, Sadie Dickenson, Vivianne Alvord, and several special nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
