Of Lakeland, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 in the Lakeland Villa. She was born February 12, 1930 to the late Hansel Allen and Leila Moore. Mrs. Conine was a loving mother and wife. For over four decades she was very active in the ministry of the Lakeland Congregation of Jehovah�s Witnesses. She was a devoted homemaker and a skilled gardener who took great pride in the appearance of her home. She lived to serve her children, grandchildren, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Clyde Thomas Conine, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Clyde T. Conine, Jr. Cindy of Perry, GA, H. Grant Conine Denise of Lakeland, and Nancy Kilpatrick of Lakeland, GA; Sisters, Geraldine Bennett of Stockton, GA, Hazel Scarbrough of Lakeland, GA, Virginia Mathis of Homerville, GA, and Peggy Cannon of Ray City, GA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Elder Steve Bargeron officiating. Interment will follow in the Arabia Cemetery in Clinch County, Georgia. Visitation will be held Saturday night, October 22, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers accepted or donations can be made to the Lakeland Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 517 S. Oak St., Lakeland, GA 31635.
