Of Dawsonville, GA formerly of Lowndes County, GA passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 in Embracing Hospice in Cumming, GA. She was born in Valdosta, GA on November 6, 1933 to the late Lacey R., & Louise Stephens Webb, Sr. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, but attended and worshiped with many area churches and was a member of Life Underwriters. Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Herring, Sr., son, James F. Herring, Jr., granddaughter, Stephanie Dianne Herring, sister, Colleen Rouse, brothers, Talmadge Webb, Douglas Webb, Claude Webb, Lacey Webb, and Carl Webb.
Survivors include:Daughter Son-in-Law, Cynthia & Doyle Tims, Dawsonville, GA; Son & Daughter-in-Law, Donald S. & Dianne Iodine Herring, Valdosta, GA, Grandchildren, Monica L. Herring-Riley, Valdosta, GA, Amy D. Herring Miller, Valdosta, GA, Jennifer Joyce Herring, Alabama; 8 Great Grandchildren: Brandon Herring, Zakk Herring, Gage Riley, Corie Riley, Peyton Riley, Eli Cheves, Anna Schofill, Alden Schofill; A number of Nieces and Nephews
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the funeral home.
