Bernice Louise Stallings Marshall

Bernice Louise Stallings Marshall, lovingly known as “Bebe”, passed quietly at The Canopy Memory Care Facility surrounded by love and the legacy of a life well lived.

Born on March 16, 1933, Bernice was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Harold C. Marshall and Leroy Stallings.

She leaves behind her cherished children; Dr. Teresa Ann Jacobs of Alligator Point, FL, Janice Leigh Cantrell of Savannah, GA, Allen Roy Stallings and his wife, Donna Stallings of Lagrange, GA, and Cathy Elizabeth Steedley (Kitty) and her husband Mark Steedley of Homerville, GA.

Bernice was the proud grandmother of John Darsey (Jill), Jennifer Williams (Paul), Chet Linder, Anna Stallings- Peng (Jonathan), Brandon Stallings, Kelsey Strawbridge (Dodson) and Cason Steedley.

She was blessed with great-grandchildren; Zachary Darsey, Courney Darsey Arafat, Jordan Williams, Mia Williams, Ashlie Linder, and Austin Linder, as well as a treasured great great-grandchild, Irie.

Bernice lived in Valdosta, Georgia for more than three decades, where she was an active member of First United Methodist Church. She later moved to Sarasota, Florida, where she resided until 2021.

Bernice embraced life with grace, discipline, and style. She loved to exercise and walked daily, well into her later years. A woman of impeccable taste, she had a deep appreciation for fashion and interior design and took great joy in creating beautiful, welcoming spaces. An avid traveler, she especially loved cruising and exploring the world, always eager for her next adventure.

Above all, Bernice will be remembered for her elegance, independence, and devotion to her family. Her presence, strength, and quiet grace will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. She will be eternally “Fine as Wine!”

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Valdosta, GA with a visitation one hour prior at the cemetery. The Marshall family is being served by the caring and professional staff of Music Funeral services of Valdosta.
