She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She retired from Lowndes County Family & Children Services after over 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Leeman Bennett, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 8, 2010 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Wayfare Cemetery in Echols County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, May 7, 2010 at the funeral home.
