Bettie Jernigan – 73
Of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in Pruitthealth-Crestwood. She was born on August 30, 1947 in Leland, Mississippi to the late Charlie Calvin Reed and Mary Emma (Cohea) Reed. Mrs. Bettie worked as a cashier at Jones Truck Stop. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Michael Jernigan, sisters, Rita Reed Jones, Mona Hill, Vernice Carol Carter; brother, Curtis Gene Reed; half-sisters, Jessica Hutchinson and Stephanie Freeman.
Survivors include: Daughter, Tracey Henderson and husband, Bradd of Valdosta, Georgia; Son, Michael White of Tennessee; Granddaughter, Victoria White of Valdosta, Georgia; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members; Best friend, Linda “Jo” Stern of New Orleans.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Francis Lake Baptist Church in Lake Park, GA with burial to follow in Lake Park City Cemetery.
