Of Lakeland passed away at her residence in Lakeland of an apparent heart attack. She was born in Berrien County GA and had lived in Lakeland for the past several years. She was a Missionary Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her parents Jimmy and Pheriba Ford Guthrie, her husband Virgil Bennett, and a brother Levi Guthrie.

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday March 8, 2004 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial in Lovejoy cemetery in Lanier County.
