Of Valdosta passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at her residence after a brief illness. She was born May 18, 1927 in Alma, Ga to the late James C. and Beulah Smith Rigdon. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was Baptist by faith and was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Chester, 2 Sisters, Deane Hollman & Ivis Lindsay and 3 Brothers, Enslee Rigdon, Glen Rigdon and William Bill Rigdon.
Survivors include: Daughter, Gloria Jean Ingram, Warner Robins, GA; Sons, William Corky Ingram, Valdosta, GA, Michael Joseph Ingram, Indianapolis, IN, 4 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters& Brothers-in-law, Billye SueTomlinson, Homerville, GA, Sandra & Sidney Cleveland, Palm Bay, FL and 2 Brother & Sister-in-law, Robert & Dorothy Rigdon, Bend, OR, Jimmy & Linda Rigdon, Homerville, GA
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 9, 2009 in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night, July 8, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
