Betty Maxine Coody

Betty Maxine Coody – 78 of Valdosta, GA passed away on Monday March 30, 2020 in the South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born on April 26, 1941 in Valdosta, GA to the late John and Essie (Carter) Gay. Betty was a kind soul who was loved by all. Anyone who knew her, knew she always put family first. Betty was a cook for Bynum’s diner. She was fond of flowers and often made beautiful Easter baskets that will be greatly missed during the holiday. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Bobby, Jimmy, Billy, and Randy.
Survivors include her Husband of 63 years, Reece Coody of Valdosta, GA; Son, Michael G. Coody of Leesburg, GA; Daughter, Lori Corbin of Valdosta, GA; Grandsons, Michael R. Coody and wife, Ashley of Dickinson, ND, Jonathan G. Coody and wife, Jessika of Van Couver, WA; Great Grandchildren: Emily, Brayden, Grayson, and Brooklyn; Sister, Hazel Bynum and husband, Eddie of Valdosta, GA; Numerous nieces and nephews.
