Of Statenville passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 in South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Ty Ty, GA on September 5, 1923 to the late Parrish Griffin and Annie Lee Suggs Trueluck. She attended Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Cumbess, sons, Eli Cumbess and Ike Cumbess, grandchildren, Guy Cumbess, Joseph Wade Cumbess and Joy Lynn Cumbess, brother, Job Trueluck and a sister, Jessie Lee Rewis
Survivors include:Sons & Daughters-in-law, Zeke & Cindy Cumbess, Statenville, GA, Neil & Gail Cumbess, Valdosta, GA, Jim & Glendora Cumbess, Valdosta, GA, Joe & Sue Cumbess, Valdosta, GA, 15 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, Sisters, Lucille Johns, Homerville, GA, Amilou Jilliard, Homerville, GA, Robbie Sowell, and Numerous other family members
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 25, 2009 in Cumbess Cemetery in Statenville, GA. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the funeral home.
