Of Homerville departed her earthly body on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Fellowship Home in Nashville, GA. She was born in Homerville, GA on December 29, 1930 to the late Will and Ruby Tomlinson Lee. She worked at Clinch Memorial Hospital as a practical nurse, x-ray technician, and an EMT nurse. Prior to her nursing career, she worked at Standard Container (B-Way). She belonged to the Red Hats in Lakeland, GA was a member of the Eastern Star in Monroe, NC. And was a member of Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Before her second marriage to the late Marvin Davis of Monroe, North Carolina, she was married to the late William (Buck) McCain. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, J.D. Lee, Bruce Lee, Lloyd Lee and a son Paul McCain and one step daughter and her husband Wanda and Jerry Horne.
Survivors include: Sister, Jewell Dean Gaskins of Homerville, GA; Her children and their spouses, Norman & Vivian McCain of Homerville, GA; Patricia & Franklin Smith of Yulee, FL; Wade & Terry McCain of Homerville, GA; Step Children, Rick & Kay Davis of Monroe, NC; Beth & John Fabiano of Jacksonville, FL; Joey & Donna Davis of Monroe, NC; Trish & Jimmy Johnson of Amelia Island, FL; 10 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great-great Grandchildren, along with 6 step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in Arabia Cemetery in Clinch County. The family will receive friends from 1:00P.M. until service time at the church at 2:00P.M. In addition to flowers please make donations to Arabia Church Cemetery, 181 Locklier Rd.
