Betty Jo Drier – 83

Of Valdosta passed away on November 30, 2021 at her residence. She was born in San Marcos, Texas on March 5, 1938 to the late Carl Columbus and Myrtie Edna Schafer Wilson. She was a teacher working with students at La Petite Academy Day Care. She was an active member of Open Bible Church, she loved her family and enjoyed reading her bible. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Mary Cornell, Carla Miller, and a brother Douglas Wilson.

Survivors include: Daughter, Debra Drier of Valdosta, Georgia; Son, Richard Drier (Kim) of Waycross, Georgia; Grandchildren, Shannah (Josh) Johnson, Gregory (Shannon) Bounds, Douglas Drier, Tyler Deal, Ashlea Deal; Great Grandchildren, Cadence Johnson Damien Johnson, Dylan Johnson, and one on the way, Brianna Williams, Gracie Deal, Aurora Deal; Brother, Roy Wilson of Round Rock, Texas; Sister, Dorothy Whitfield of Austin, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Memorial services will be held at Open Bible Church at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 4, 2021. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
