Betty Jean James

Betty Jean James – 76 of Valdosta, GA passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born on January 28, 1945 in Adel, GA to the late Russell & Helen (Sauls) Harrelson. Betty was a member of the Azalea City Church of God. She worked as the store manager for B&C Wall Coverings. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eugene Moon and sisters: Mary Lou Ervin and Doris Powell and brother: Felton Harrelson.
Survivors Include: Husband: Gerald James, Valdosta, GA; Daughter & Son-in-law: Cindy & Brian Norton, Valdosta, GA; Sons: Allen Buck Moon, Valdosta, GA; Sister & Brother-in-law: Linda Adel & Chuck Kennedy, Atlanta, GA; Brother: Harry Harrelson, Adel, GA; 3 grandchildren: Ashley Adams, Michelle Moon & Allen Moon; special great granddaughter: Baylee Adams and a number of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Wilkes Cemetery, Adel, GA. No formal visitation will be held.
