Betty June Parker, 79, of Valdosta, Georgia, formerly of Mobile, Alabama, passed away, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, Georgia. Betty was born June 7, 1940, in Semmes, Alabama to the late Murray L.V. and Thelma Cowart Rester. She was a graduate of Semmes High School and was a homemaker. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Francis Elliot Parker. Her sons: Eugene B. Parker Jr. and Joseph A. Parker; one sister: Anita R. Cunningham; one brother: Murry Rester.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Cheryl P. Britton and husband Harry of Wesley Chapel, Florida; Lori P. Nehring and husband Justin of Valdosta, Georgia; a daughter-in-law: Melonee Rouse Parker of Moss Point Mississippi; Grandchildren: Harry Britton V and wife Mary Ellen of Port St. Lucie Florida; Keith Maxey II and wife Emily of Lakeland, Florida; Zade Parker of Moss Point, Mississippi; Che Parker and wife Krista of Moss Point, Mississippi; Taylor Britton of Land-O-Lakes, Florida; Sarah Bohler and husband Chad of Lakeland, Florida; Great grandchildren: Maliha Kiernan of Land-O-Lakes, Florida; Klay Maxey of Lakeland, Florida; Braxton Bohler of Lakeland, Florida; Keeley Maxey of Lakeland, Florida; Alyvia Parker of Moss Point, Mississippi; Audrey Parker of Moss Point, Mississippi; One sister: Thelma Sheffield and husband Jerry of Semmes, Alabama; One brother: Terry Rester of Mobile, Alabama.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, private family services will be held, Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 2:00PM, in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
