Betty Lee Peters – 71

Of Valdosta passed away Thursday, October 28, 2004, at Lakehaven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born in Lanier County to the late Arlie and Ruth Fender and had lived in Lowndes County for the past 48 years. She was a member of Ministry Baptist Church in Valdosta. Mrs. Peters attended the School of Cosmetology, upon graduation she worked as a beautician for many years. One of her greatest joys was working on Crafts with her daughter, Brenda K. along with other family members. Her husband, Harry E. Peters, Daughter, Brenda K, and brother, James A. Fender, preceded her in death.

William E. “Gene” and Rebecca Peters, Barretts, Ga.
Jerry L. and Janie Peters, Jennings, Fl.
Jimmy D. and Roxanne Peters, Hahira, Ga.

14 Grandchildren: Chris, Clay, Ricky, Melissa, Linton, Corey, Ellisa, Jeffrey, Amber, Justin, Emily, Greg, Dianne, and Scott.

A number of Great Grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Services were held at 3:00 P.M Sunday October 31, 2004 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services and burial following in Cat Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Schappaugh, Rev. Wallace Montgomery, and Rev. Brent Welch officiating. Her Grandsons, Justin Peters, Linton Peters, Ricky Peters, Clay Spires, Scott Roberts and Scott Walker will serve as Active Pallbearers. The family will be gathered at the home of Gene and Rebecca Peters, 6023 Barretts Road, In the Barretts Community.

Music Funeral Services of Valdosta is serving the Peters family.
