Betty St. Cyr 72, of Valdosta, better known as “Nana”, gained her wings early Saturday morning, May 28, 2022 at her residence. She was born on August 12, 1949 to the late James and Maxine Putnal at Fort Benning Army base in Columbus, Georgia. Betty loved to sit and “people watch” as often as possible. She had a heart for befriending everyone and was a light to all. Most of all, she loved to interact and be with her family. Mrs. St.Cyr is preceded in death by her husband Joseph St. Cyr and her brother, James Putnal.
Survivors include: daughters, Kimberly Zuchnik of Valdosta, GA, Tina (Chris) Brisson of Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Amanda (Chad) Whiting, Ansley (Jeremiah) Lawlor, Magan (Justin) Dupree, Justin (Lennon) Zuchnik; great grandchildren, Candler and Conor Whiting, Nolan Lawlor, Eli, Dean and Scarlett Zuchnik and Gavin Dupree; brothers, Jerry (Liz) Putnal, Randy (Lynn) Putnal and Gene (Donna) Putnal; sister, Sheila Weaver; nieces, Lisa Conkin and Sherry Putnal; great nephews, Randy (children, Katie and Maddox) and William Conkin; great niece, Leslie Cabral (children Zoey and Emma); brother and sister in-law, James & Debbie St. Cyr; along with a host of extended family and friends she dearly loved.
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at About My Fathers Ministry located at 1005 West Gordon Street Valdosta, GA. The family and members of the church cordially invite guests to gather for food and fellowship immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
