Betty Ann Taylor, 69 of Ray City, GA passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at South Georgia Medical Center. Betty was born on May 15, 1956, in Quitman, GA to the late Norma Blanche Horne and Lenward Carroll Mobley. Betty’s greatest joy was her family. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and sisters were truly her everything. She cherished every moment spent with them and poured her love into the people closest to her.
She was also recognized beyond her home, earning Carrier of the Year from the Valdosta Daily Times, a testament to her dedication and hard work.
And through it all, Betty’s heart carried a lifelong love for Elvis Presley, whose music brought her joy and comfort.
She is preceded in death by her parents and fiancé, Chuck Croft.
Survivors include her daughter, Croshay Dent (Keith) of Ray City, GA; son, Truett Taylor (Christie) of Navarre, FL; sisters, Carol Sapp (Clenton) of Barney, GA and Deborah Boyd (Rickey) of Nashville, GA; grandchildren, Trinity Taylor, Kendall Taylor (Emma), Cadence Taylor, Cambden Taylor, Joel Dent, Aaron Dent; great grandchildren, Kenley Taylor and Kaison Taylor; former spouse and father of her children, Coy Taylor of Valdosta; special niece, Daryl Anne Stanfield (Will).
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to American Cancer Society or Samaritan’s Purse.
